Biography

Darren is one of the UK’s most experienced presenters with a national, regional and local profile. Currently Darren broadcasts to a potential audience of 2.5 million across the North West of England on Key 103’s mid morning show from Manchester. He has also presented nationally on several key chart shows including the Pepsi Network Chart Show networked on over 117 radio stations across the country.

His other radio credits include Smash Hits Radio and Radio City in Liverpool.

Darren’s experience is not limited to the airwaves having presented live the Smash Hits Poll Winners Tour as it covered over 16 venues in the UK and Ireland. Darren has also presented at the Smash Hits Poll Winners TV show at the Docklands Arena in London.

Darren was the first choice of a major brand to front the first ever series of exclusive gigs for Coca-Cola called “The Red Room Sessions” that featured artists such as the Sterophonics, Sugababes and Busted.

Darren has interviewed a long list of artists and celebrities both here and in the states and his guest list has included Britney spears, Robbie Williams, Bono, Duran Duran, Noel Gallagher, Barry White, Westlife and Rod Stewart.

Darren is the preferred choice for key product launches including Coca Cola sports days, The Manchester United Foundation and all forms of corporate events, as well as voicing some of the worlds favourite TV and Radio Commercials.

He is also well known for his warm and professional style of hosting at many Key charity events and has a great ability to grab the audience’s attention during charity auctions raising hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years.

In recognition of some of his work Darren has a collection of awards including Sony Gold Award for Smash Hits Radio and a New York Award for The Smash Hits Chart Show and Presenter Of The Year for industry magazine X-TRAX.
